How loyal Listeners are to their Radio Stations

According to the latest ARD/ZDF Media Study 2024, radio reaches almost two thirds of Germans aged 14 and over on an average day (63%), far more than streaming services (21%), music via YouTube (11%) or podcasts (9%). We looked at the Media Analysis (MA) to see how loyal listeners remain to their programmes. We not only look at individual programmes, but also take a closer look at the performance of the various programme formats – from adult contemporary (AC) to pop music.

The key findings were published as a guest article in the trade journal HORIZONT (German language only).
