Digital Media for Children

On behalf of Monika Grütters, Minister of State for Culture and the Media and in cooperation with Prof. Dr. med. Roland Rosenstock from the University of Greifswald, House of Research analysed the distribution and use of digital services for children in Germany. One focus of the study was on the German-language websites for children, which have been supported since 2008 by the “Ein Netz für Kinder” funding program. Continue …

Digitalisation of Film Production and Utilization

The location- and time-independent consumption of file-based media content is increasingly establishing itself, as efficient technologies and fast transmission routes bring movies and shows to all electronic devices. Media content is produced digitally, saved and distributed. House of Research examined these developments with a study focusing on markets which deal with digital, file-based production and utilization. The company alliance dwerft commissioned this study. Second Screen: Interactive Spectator Integration

House of Research has implemented a second screen system that allows TV viewers to compete in a quiz against studio candidates in real time. The system consists of a cloud-based second screen application for the viewers as well as a tablet application for the studio candidates.
In the show YPD-Challenge of the Austrian television station ServusTV, 25 pupils and students competed against each other in a challenge. Continue …
