Analysis of media markets

Format Map is an evaluated study design for the analysis of radio markets and an indispensable basic tool for the strategic program planning. It is based on a representative sample of the relevant population in the transmission area. Via CATI the relationships to the individual music styles and program colors will be measured. Perception questions provide important insights concerning various program elements and their design.

Comprehensive statistical analysis, e.g. for clustering and graphical visualization (mapping) provide clear results which are easy to understand:

  • Where and how are the different existing programs positioned in the market?

  • Which market segments have the greatest potential for success?
  • Which positioning and which branding is optimal for the target achievement?
